The Groom Industries is taking action for the environment - to leave it cleaner than we found it.

Their different initiatives to improve their environmental impact are as follows:

• Formula - choose ingredients from sustainable sources that are good for people and the environment, with those being of natural origin, non-toxic and produced with minimal ecological impact.
   
• Local and ethical supplies - whenever possible, they work with local suppliers for raw materials, containers, accessories and supplies. All packaging, labels and shipping supplies are manufactured in North America, and service providers also are Canadian businesses.
   
• Staff Travel - working with PlanetAir, Groom has purchased certified offset credits twice the equivalent of their CO2 emissions from all their commercial trips, including casual visits to local dealers. Through these contributions, they also participate in a reforestation project in Quebec. They therefore claim that all the miles Groom staff travels on duty are carbon-negative.
   
• Shipping - materials are either recyclable or compostable. They also track, assess and immediately offset they shipment's carbon footprint through an app that is directly embedded to their online store. All proceeds go to Pachama, a portfolio of many reforestation and biodiversity protection projects around the world.
   
• Certified Plastic Negative through their partnership with rePurpose Global. They can proudly guarantee that for every piece of plastic used in their operations, twice its weight in plastic pollution is removed from the environment. This partnership also allows to fund waste management programmes, new recycling technologies and to offer better conditions to marginalized workers.
   
• Recycled and recycling - making better choices regarding the materials used in their packaging, which means selecting recycled or upcycled options whenever possible. For example, the tubes used for shaving products (Aftershave Balm and Shaving Cream) are made using 50% ocean-bound plastic, directly reducing environmental pollution. New tubes are fully recyclable as well.
